Instructions

1. Prep & Mix Batter:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a 10-12 cup Bundt pan.

  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy (3-4 minutes).

  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in apple butter and vanilla.

  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing just until combined.

2. Bake the Cake:

  • Spoon batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.

3. Make the Glaze:

  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and cream. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Cool slightly until thickened but still pourable.

4. Assemble & Serve:

  • Drizzle warm glaze over cooled cake. Garnish with pecans if desired.
